Disney Opens Digital Bookstore
The Walt Disney Company opened a digital bookstore today that gives guests a “media rich” book reading experience, online. Some of the books can be accessed for free, others require a subscription ($8.95/month or $79.95/year). A wide variety of books are featured on the site including books based on popular franchises such as High School Musical and Pirates of the Caribbean. As guests read these books, a “magic pen” appears with pixie dust trails to help you follow along.
Also featured within the site is a dictionary utility that allows readers to hear the word and see s definition for it while reading the book of their choice. (Where was that when I was in school?!)
