Richard Cook Resigns from Walt Disney Studios


Richard Cook, Chief of Walt Disney Studios, has resigned from the company, effective immediately. He served with the company for 38 years, starting as a ride operator for Disneyland’s steam train and monorail. In recent times, Cook has come under scrutiny for the quality of his films (most notably by CEO Robert Iger earlier this year).

In a press conference, he stated that he resigned because he wanted to leave the studios at a high point rather than being forced out later.
