According to
USA Today, Walt Disney Animation is scheduled to make its first television special for the ABC Television network. The program, labeled
Prep and Landing is due out near Christmas time and was created by Chris Williams and produced by John Lasseter.
Prep and Landing focuses on the North Pole Christmas Eve Command Center where elves are sent to prep homes for Santa’s arrival. ABC is hoping that
Prep and Landing will repeat the success the network had with
Shrek the Halls as well as draw older and newer generations to the network (
Prep has high-tech gadgets for the younger generation and throwbacks to the classic holiday specials for the older).
