Disney Sued over Hannah Montana…Again

hannah-montana1E! Online is reporting that writer Richard Fronduto claims that he created the premise for Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel. He maintains that he presented a script to Disney in 1990 entitled The Secret Life of Sindi (later renamed Family Business). Reportedly, Disney liked his idea and ordered a two-hour pilot only to scrap it.

Mr. Fronduto seeks unspecified damages, along with a “created by” credit on all future episodes of the series.

In 2007, Netcot reported that Disney was sued by writer Buddy Shefield who claimed to pitch an idea about a boy who’s a student by day and a rocker by night.
