wintermickey1882: Author Alan Alexander Milne (creator of Winnie-the-Pooh) is born in London, England.
1900: Animator David Dodd Hand is born in Plainfield, New Jersey.
1902: Actor Leon Ames (The Monkey’s Uncle, The Misadventures of Merlin Jones, Son of Flubber, The Absent Minded Professor) is born in Portland, Indiana.
1906: Director, and Disney Legend, Wilfred Jackson (Cinderella, Lady and the Tramp, Steamboat Willie, and more) is born in Chicago, Illinois.
1924: Artist Lillian Bounds-future wife of Walt-starts working at the Disney Brothers Studio in Hollywood. 
1930: While Walt confronts Pat Powers about withholding royalties from the Mickey Mouse shorts, Ub Iwerks informs Roy, back in Hollywood, that he wants out of the company as soon as possible.
1934: Actor Bill Bixby (The Apple Dumpling Gang, Herbie, the Love Bug-the TV series) is born Wilfred Bailey Bixby in San Francisco, California.
1935: Animator Ollie Johnston (the 2nd of Walt’s Nine Old Men) is hired as an in-betweener at the Disney Studios.
1941: Actor, and Disney Legend, David Stollery (Marty Markham on Spin and Marty) is born in Los Angeles, California.
1943: Animator Ollie Johnston marries fellow Walt Disney Studios artist Marie Worthey.
1949: Disney’s So Dear To My Heart is released.
1956: Actor Robby Benson (voice of Beast in Beauty and the Beast) is born in Dallas, Texas.
1971: Recreacres, Inc.-a company that bought the land for Walt Disney World-changes its name to Buena Vista Land Company, Inc., later to be known as the Walt Disney World Hospitality and Recreastion Corporation.
1976: Disney’s original Freaky Friday is released.
1986: Actor Rickey Ullman (Phil of the Future, Pixel Perfect, Eric in Kim Possible: So the Drama) is born in Eilat, Israel.
1987: In Disneyland, the Mark V monorails debut.
1988: The Walt Disney Company acquires the Wrather Corporation, which owns the Disneyland Hotel.
2000: Robert A. Iger is named President and COO of the Walt Disney Company.
2005: Walt Disney World announces that the River Country water park will be closed permanently.
2006: A Disney Channel Original Movie, High School Musical premieres.
2006: Bob Iger, President and CEO of the Walt Disney Company, announces that Disney has acquired Pixar.
2007: Both Finding Nemo-The Musical at Animal Kingdom as well as The Seas with Nemo and Friends at Epcot officially open to the public.
