1911: Illustrator Paul Murry (illustrator of the Mickey Mouse comic stories between 1950-1970) is born in Missouri.
1919: Director and writer Norman Tokar (The Apple Dumpling Gang, Snowball Express, Rascal, The HOrse in the Gray Flannel Suit) is born in Newark, New Jersey.
1929: Actress Laurie Main (narrator in Winnie the Pooh videos, Dawson in The Great Mouse Detective) is born in London, England.
1934: In Macy’s Christmas Parade, the first set of Disney balloons (Mickey, Pluto, the Big Bad Wolf, one of The Three Little Pigs) floats down Broadway in New York City.
1943: Singer, Composer, and Disney Legend, Randy Newman (Toy Story, James and the Giant Peach, A Bug’s Life, Monsters Inc.) is born in Los Angeles, California.
1955: The Mickey Mouse Club Circus is the first major addition to Disneyland since it opened.
1971: In Walt Disney World’s Tomorrowland, America the Beautiful (a CircleVision 360 film) opens.
1971: Actress Lisa Arch (Samantha Samuels in Cory in the House) is born in Los Angeles, California.
1974: In Walt Disney World’s Tomorrowland, the StarJets open to guests.
1980: In Walt Disney World, the 10-Adventure ticket books replace the A through E tickets. The new books can be used for any attraction, not just specific ones.
1984: Actor Lucas Grabeel (Halloweentown High, Return to Halloweentown, Ryan Evans in the High School Musical series) is born in Springfield, Missouri.
1984: Actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Gwen Grayson in Sky High) is born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
1992: Actress Miley Cyrus (aka Hannah Montana, Miley Stewart in Hannah Montana, Penny in Bolt) is born in Franklin, Tennessee.
1992: Disney’s 31st animated film, Aladdin, is released.
1992: In Disneyland’s Toontown, the Toontown Railroad Station opens.
1994: In Epcot’s Imagination Pavilion, the “Honey, I Shrunk the Audience” 3-D movie experience replaces Captain EO.
1994: Epcot’s Spaceship Earth reopens with a new narration where Jeremy Irons replaces Walter Kronkite.
1996: In Disneyland, the Main Street Electrical Parade gives its last performance.
