According to Fox News, a 20 year old Florida resident has been charged in connection with stealing $25,000 from victims out of state attempting to book Walt Disney World vacations through her company ‘A Fairy Tale Event’. TBS Sues ABC
Bloomberg News is reporting that the Tokyo Broadcasting System is suing ABC for copyright issues pertaining to the network’s hit summer show “Wipeout”. Oriental Land Company Scraps Plans for New Disney Park.
Reuters is reporting that the Oriental Land Company (the company behind the Tokyo Disneyland Resort) has scrapped plans for another Disney park in Japan. The company’s sole decision against the park is that there were “poor prospects of the project’s investment returns.” The park would have been an “urban-style” theme park.

According to the BBC, The New York City Opera has commissioned Philip Glass (“Einstein on the Beach”) to write a new show about Walt Disney. “The Perfect American” will be an American version of Peter Stephan Jungk’s novel “Der König von Amerika.” The show is scheduled to premier in the 2012-2013 season.
