This week’s podcast focuses on an overview of The Land pavilion in EPCOT including information about the history of many of the attractions within it. Weekly Disney news featured in this episode include:

  • A new opera all about Walt Disney has been commissioned.
  • The Lion King stage show will soon debut at Mandalay Bay. (And my apologies for incorrectly pronouncing that on the show.)
  • Johnny Depp says he’ll return as Captain Jack Sparrow in a fourth Pirates installment.
  • Thanks to Barry (CinderMickey521) for confirming with a cast member that the Contemporary is officially calling the new building “Bay Lake Tower” and that it will be DVC rooms. (We all knew that, but now its official!)
  • Disney announced plans for more on-line worlds at the Virtual World Expo.
  • Former Disney CEO Michael Eisner is helping Topps become a media company through activities like a new web-based series called “Back on Topps” featuring the hosts of “Cheap Seats” on ESPN Classic.
