You can often check-in to a Disney hotel early and ask to have them call you when you’re room is ready. Just leave your cell phone number with them at the front desk. Sometimes, they may give you a number to call in and check on your room status (instead of them calling you). Regardless, its a great way to check in and get to the parks while you wait for your room.
If you’ve invested in Panchos, bring them with you on days when it might rain and leave them in a locker at the front of the park. That way you can get to them when it looks like it’ll rain.
Do the math on stroller rentals. It might be worth it to purchase (perhaps even AT your destination city) a low-cost stroller for your trip instead of renting from Disney. (I’ve even heard people say they THREW AWAY their stroller at the end of the trip – that sounds wasteful, so maybe you could donate it or something instead if you don’t want to bring it back.)
As the hotel for a refrigerator in your room (a lot may already have one). You can then store medications, extra water & snacks, etc. And, if you want to take cold water in the parks with you, put a cold bottle of water in a larger camera bag and wrap packets of “Wet Ones” individually wrapped wipes around the bottle. The plastic case will help preserve the bottle’s cool temperature for several hours, even in the hot sun!
