Disney World and the Hurricane Watch

If you’re planning a trip to WDW during the next week, keep an eye on the weather. Tropical Storm Fay (Soon to be Hurricane Fay) is set to ride straight up the Floridian Peninsula and into Georgia. Therefore, all major cities in the state should keep an eye out for the storm to come ripping through. The storm is scheduled to hit Orlando around Tuesday or Wednesday with Tallahassee a day after that.

For those at WDW this next week, the parks have only closed three times in the past. If you’re staying on property, just ride the storm out (unless they tell you to evacuate) and the parks will be virtually empty once the storm passes.

yeah this isn’t looking good for where i live.. we haven’t had a strong ‘cane in 27 years now…

Good thing they’ve got that new attraction in Innoventions. I just wish I had visited it to see how to prepare the house before Fay headed this way…

The storm is actually “Fay” (without the “e” at the end).

Good to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Forecasters have been all over the map with where it will go as well as the intensity of this storm. Central Florida has been fortunate for many years now with no substantial hurricanes to come thru for quite some time.
