Disney’s not “Lovin’ It”

The LA Times is reporting that, in Disneyland, three McDonald’s locations will close after the labor day weekend. Ever since 2006, The Walt Disney Company has been restricting their ties with McDonalds: no longer are Disney films promoted with happy meals and several satellite shops in the theme parks are going offline. This is a continuing move as Disney is looking to promote healthier eating habits among children.

Three locations in Walt Disney World will continue to sell McDonald’s french fries and burgers for now.

I find this very disappointing. I always get fries every time I go, but if these are the measures that need to be taken to prevent Splash Mountain from being closed for “renovation” , then I’m all for it :D .

I’m good with this. IMHO, the D’land fries, with mayo, of course, are far superior.

I agree with this. I was at WDW a few months ago and was shocked at the amount of kids that were not fat but were obese. As a father of 3 kids I applaud Disney for taking the high road and spinning a positive influence on this matter

I am glad too. I hope that means that the ugliest building in Walt Disney World will be “demoed” soon: The McDonald’s near the All-Star Resorts! Have you seen that monstrosity? AMEN!
