Rumors Of New Disney Park Cause A Run On Property In Shanghai


Rumors about Disney opening a new park in Shanghai has caused a run on property in Shanghai with people opening businesses and expanding homes according to the Wall Street Journal. Residences of Jinjia, a Shanghai village, believe that by expanding their homes and opening businesses, Disney and the local government will be offering relocation compensation paying by the square footage of a home and the number of trees it has.
Disney spokeswoman Leslie Goodman said there is “no agreement and no deal” for a Disney park in Shanghai but many rumors persist saying the park will be opening in 2012.
