Behind the scenes: Turtle Talk with Crush

EPCOT’s “Turtle Talk with Crush” is a classic example of Disney’s new living characters initiative designed to bring characters to life in front of guests. The attraction allows guests in a small auditorium to talk with an animated Crush projected on a screen that is made to look like an aquarium window. The attraction is an impressive display of live interaction blending technology, audio, video and animation.
If you’ve ever wondered how they do it, then this video is for you. Warning: this IS a behind-the-scenes look at the attraction. The video contains both footage from the ride as well as backstage footage of the attraction’s operator. If you don’t want to know how they do it, we recommend not viewing the video.
