Disney To Float Mickey Mouse Heads Shaped Clouds Over Walt Disney World

(News | Source: Flogos, Wired)

Francisco Guerra, a special-effects entrepreneur in Alabama, has created a system that creates clouds up to 4 feet across and can float up to 30 miles away. Flogos, as they are named, will be used next month by the Walt Disney Company to send Mickey shaped clouds into the air over Walt Disney World. A video of the clouds shaped like Mickey heads can be seen by clicking here. The clouds are made up of water, special soap and helium so will not harm the environment.

Wow, those are really cool. Thanks for the interesting news!

Anyone else find this hilarious, yet awesome at the same time?

They better include obscure characters nobody remembers or I’m protesting WDI and the Disney Company!

This is amusingly awesome!!! Are they basically bubbles?

They’re bubbles, but they won’t pop within 5 seconds. They’ll probably last a few hours.

Had to check the date to make sure it wasn’t April 1st!
Cool idea, would love to be there and see it.

They don’t look huge. How big are they?

The clouds are about 4 ft wide
