Michael Eisner, former CEO of the Disney Company, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In attendance were Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Before heading the Walt Disney Company, Eisner was the president of Paramount Pictures and oversaw pictures like “Raiders of the Lost Ark.”

While under Eisner’s leadership, The Walt Disney Co. opened theme parks in Paris, Tokyo and Hong Kong, obtained ABC and Miramax Pictures, and brought to life the Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney Theatrical Productions.

In 2004, Eisner was overthrown after a revolt was headed by Roy E. Disney and Stanley Gold.

After leaving Disney, Eisner founded Tornante Co., a private company investing in media and entertainment opportunities, and Vuguru, a new media studio. Tornante acquired baseball card and candy maker Topps Co. last October.

The Walt Disney Company’s current CEO is Robert Iger.
