Along with the announcement that Disney will increase their global market, Disney Channel has announced it’s plans over the next year.
“Hannah Montana” will be seen for a third season while both “Wizards of Waverly Place” and “Phineas and Ferb” have been renewed for a second season each.
There are also three Disney Channel Original Movies (DCOMs) planned after Camp Rock (starring Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers):
1) “Princess Protection Program” (starring Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez (“Wizards of Waverly Place”), and Tom Verica (“American Dreams”)) is about a teenage princess that must go into a secret protection program.
2) “Dadnapped” (starring Emily Osment, Jason Earles, Moises Arias (all of “Hannah Montana”), David Henrie (“Wizards of Waverly Place”) and Phill Lewis (“The Suite Life of Zack and Cody”)) is about a girl who is frustrated that her dad is never around. When they go on vacation, he goes missing and the girl must find her father.
3) “Hatching Pete” (starring Jason Dolley (“Cory in the House”) and Mitchell Musso (“Hannah Montana”)) is about a shy-teen who fills in for his friend as mascot and a whole new side emerges. He must decide whether or not to reveal that he has been the mascot while his friend reaps the rewards.
