Livingston Parish, Louisiana, is trying to attract a Disney park. The parish is the fastest growing in Louisiana and has big plans. Parish President Mike Grimmer said he is excited about the future of the parish and that they may even attract a Disney theme park. According to him, Walt Disney looked at Livingston Parish in 1954 presumably for a theme park. Grimmer said that the Livingston Economic Development Council paid $100,000 for a Disney site study and is hoping to hear back from the Walt Disney Company within the next couple of months. He said that if Disney is not going to come to Livingston Parish, then the parish will go after them.
