Is this legit news or is this a rumor? I find it a little outlandish quite frankly. I’m not going to lie, I burst out laughing when I read this.

I AM from Louisiana and I would tell Disney not to do it. They didn’t do it then, and they won’t do it now. Louisiana still has things to fix before something that monumental could ever happen.

Those of you who are from Louisiana and don’t support the idea are only part of this states problem. It’s time for us to come out of that old thought process that Louisiana is a corrupt state that fosters failure. I for one think it’s a great idea.

OK, Kimmie. You blew this out of proportion, but I shall entertain you, nonetheless. I will assume that you are from Louisiana and are obviously oblivious to the fact there are other things that this state, or the even the local municipalities, need to do before they even attempt to handle something as monumental as a Disney park. Livingston Parish will need the support from the state to get the financial backing for a project of this size. If the parish and the state jumps in head first without looking at everything that is involved, it will run the risk of mishandling this project, which will reinforce the idea of Louisiana as a corrupt state. Things like this take time and I think there are other things that need to be addressed before this is even considered. Granted, the administration that we now have has a better chance of taking something like that on. But, the governor has to fix numerous mistakes left by his predecessors. If you are not from this state, take care to understand what is going on before you decide to comment. Don’t believe everything you see in the media and there is no logical reason that you could give me that will convince me that this is a good idea at this moment in time. End of line.

I don’t think this is a good idea. They think they can go after Disney because Walt supposedly looked there and DIDN’T put a park there over 50 years ago? are you serious? This is rididculous. I don’t think that Disney will put a park when someone goes after them.

Kimmie why do you think it’s a great idea? If you look at people in New York or any other states near by wouldn’t it make more sense for Disney to scatter park around the country instead of concentrating parks in the south? Just a thought. What do you all think. Is it better for Disney to look at the area where the park might be or is it more important for them to look at the proximity to other parks or a combination of both?

Exactly! Don’t be hating because of past political corruption. Corruption is anywhere you look when money is involved. And by the way ksalase, the last Governor was a woman. Shows how much you really know about LA. Admittedly she didn’t do much for the state, but she did attract the movie business so why not put a Disney theme park here. And yes I am from Louisiana!!
