Utah is trying to draw Disney Interactive Studios to its state by offering tax rebates if the company creates 500 jobs in 10 years. If the studio can meet the obligation, they will be able to recover 30 percent of its sales, payroll and corporate taxes. Disney has two studios, Avalanche Software and Fall Line Studios, already in Salt Lake City but wants to expand there.
“We’re very pleased with the success that both studios have had so far,” spokeswoman Angela Emery said. “We’d like to grow our base of talent there.”
