Treehouse Villas To Be Replaced By New Treehouses At Walt Disney World

(News | Source: South Florida Water Management District)

According to paperwork filed with the South Florida Water Management District, Disney is proposing to demolish the Treehouse Villas and replace them with new treehouses that will have a smaller footprint in the 100 year flood plain. These buildings would only have 95 square feet on the ground reducing the square footage of buildings in the flood plain by almost 75%. There would still be 60 units and the existing utilities, roadway and pool would not need to be upgraded.

Below are images from the architectural drawings detailing the design and layout of the new treehouses.
