According to a document filed in Orange County, FL on Jan. 25, 2008, Walt Disney Imagineering has submitted a notice of commencement to the state and county government stating that “improvements” will be made to the site of “Imagination.” These improvements are listed as “Imagination demolition.”

The document gives no other specific indication about what this may mean for the site. While, it could signal a large scale demolition of the pavilion, it could also be much smaller in nature. As we find out more, we’ll post it here. Until then, you can see this document for yourself here.

Something tells me they are probably demolishing like something small or maybe parts of the original second floor goodies. I doubt we will be lucky enough for them to tear down the abomination that is the current version of Imagination

Agreed! However, I do still enjoy seeing the building facade itself, including the reverse waterfall. I hope they don’t demolish that. It will always remind me of Journey Into Imagination. Boy, I miss EPCOT Center!

OMG they are going to demolish their imaginations!

Ahem. I mean Joel is right, it’s most likely something small. If you have to gut a few walls you have to file a notice of demolition.

I agree, the reverse waterfall is a highlight. So, on this note… what’s the deal with Wonders of Life Pavilion? I mean honestly, how hard could it be to find a company to sponsor a pavilion related to health??
