Disney Still Mum On Construction Next To Contemporary

(News | Source: Orlando Sentinel)

Disney is currently building a $110 million, 15-story tower next to the Contemporary Resort but is still being quiet on what is going there. More than likely, the new building will be a new Disney Vacation Club resort. Permits filed with the Reedy Creek Improvement District indicate the property is owned by JMSRM Inc. which is a fictitious name for the Disney Vacation Club. Additionally, letters by environmental consultants called it a ‘proposed Disney Vacation Club Resort.’ Additionally, Disney reported that there are about 680 new time-share units under construction at Walt Disney World.

“We have plans to expand our Disney Vacation Club business both on Walt Disney World property and at other vacation destinations in the future. However, we don’t have anything formal to announce today,” Disney Vacation Club spokeswoman Rena Langley said.
