Disney Stores At Orlando International Airport Doing Well

(News | Source: Orlando Sentinel)

Disney’s EarPort and the Magic of Disney, the two Disney Stores at Orlando International Airport, have been doing exceptionally well selling up to $1.2 million in a single month and $58 million since opening. Many of the shoppers are trying to get last minute gifts before flying home. Guest find it convenient that they can purchase most of the items available at the parks, right at the airport and don’t need to carry them until they board the plane.

“It’s so unique out there for us, because we’re going to be the first Disney experience some of those guests have when they get off at the airport — and we’re going to be the last experience some of our guests have,” said Mark Dukes, director of merchandise at Downtown Disney. “It really is an extension of Walt Disney World.”
