(News | Source: WIS TV)

The Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, South Carolina, has two new African elephants in a deal with Walt Disney World. Disney’s Animal Kingdom sent two elephants named Robin, 37, and Petunia, 34, to the Riverbanks Zoo. Animal Kingdom received an elephant from the zoo to mate and expand the gene pool at the park. The new elephants are getting used to the two remaining elephants at the Riverbanks Zoo and will not be on display until they have been accepted by the current elephants.
