Disney Employee Seriously Injured At Animal Kingdom

(News | Source: Orlando Sentinel)

An employee at Walt Disney World was injured after being hit by a moving car on the Primeval Whirl at Animal Kingdom. The attendant was evidently standing in a place that was normally off-limits to employees and was hit by a car on the ride. The victim hit her head during the fall but was breathing and conscious. On Wednesday she took a turn for the worse and it has been reported on some news sites that she died Thursday.

Disney officials indicated that there was not a malfunction with the attraction.

The source is not linked to a valid article…

I changed the source… not sure where that link went to… can’t find it on their site… oh well the Orlando Sentinel had the same story

Wen I click on the link I get a page that says, “Article not available.”

Why would she be standing in a place were she could get hit by a vehicle?

The new link works for me now… as for why she was there… no idea…

Yeah I realized that as soon as I posted my comment.

I know this had nothing to do with the ride itself, but the ride never seemed that safe to begin with. Anyways, this is really sad.

An 8:05pm update on the Sentinel’s website is officially saying that she has died.

my thoughts and prayers are with her family. this is very sad!
