Tennessee and Louisiana Fighting For ‘Hannah Montana’

(News | Source: Fox News)

‘Hannah Montana: The Movie’ will be based on the story of Hannah Montana’s family returning to Tennessee from Southern California. For the film, Tennessee is attempting to have the movie filmed in its state, but Louisiana is aggressivly persuing to have the movie shot there.

“It would mean a real impact on tourism and it would be a family friendly film that would come to the state,” Perry Gibson, executive director of the Tennessee Film, Entertainment and Music Commission, said. Tennessee is limited in what incentives it can offer, she continued.

“The thing of it is, Walt Disney really wants to film this movie in Tennessee,” Billy Ray Cyrus added. “Quite frankly, I think they are pretty close.”
