Disney Asks For Mission: SPACE Lawsuit Dismissed

(News | Source: Orlando Sentinel)

The Walt Disney Company is asking a judge to throw out a lawsuit filed by Environmental Tectonics Corp. over the technology behind Mission: SPACE at Epcot.. In 2005, the company filed the lawsuit claiming Disney disclosed confidential information about the ride and falsely took credit for its development. The company was unable to complete the project on budget or on time and forced Disney to take over the project in 2001. The company was hired by Disney to design the ride but has failed to prove or show any evidence that the company has been harmed by Disney. Environmental Tectonics creates aircrew training systems and flight simulators and claims that Disney shared this technology with other companies.
