Eisner: Writers strike is stupid.

(News | Source: cnet.com)

In a keynote speech at the Media and Money conference, former Walt Disney Company CEO, Michael Eisner told attendees that the Writer’s Guild of America strike was “a stupid strike.”

Eisner went on to describe that new media doesn’t yet have enough profit in it for a strike to be fruitful. He suggested that a strike would be more beneficial in about 3 years. Eisner also said that the studios are loosing profits because of deals they strike with Steve Jobs and Apple and suggested that if he (Eisner) were a union, he would strike wherever Jobs is.
