Ottawa Not Feeling The Love In Disney’s New Epcot Film

The new O’ Canada film at the Canada pavilion at Epcot has upset some in Ottawa since the federal capital is not given the same amount of exposure as it had in the 1982 version of the film.
“We are the nation’s capital,” says Ottawa MPP Jim Watson. “I’m at least pleased that images of Ottawa are still on the film, and also obviously pleased that the film has been updated into this century, because it was pretty stale-dated.”
“I’ve seen worse,” offered Ottawa Tourism’s director of communications, Jantine Van Kregten. “It’s difficult to showcase the entire country, but we are the capital of the country and the fourth-largest city, and it is disappointing we didn’t play a more prominent role.”
