The Walt Disney Company has donated $10 million to the Florida Children’s Hospital to create the first hospital to carry the Disney name. The Disney-themed hospital will be 7 stories and have 200 beds. The facility is expected to be completed in 2010 and currently involves Disney Imagineers to develop the patient experience.

“It’s all about creating a place where children have the opportunity to not be so overwhelmed in an environment they have never been in before and to bring them the opportunity to play and have joy and to imagine and dream,” said Meg Crofton, president of Walt Disney World.
