Disney Films Stop Smoking

The Walt Disney Company announced today that they are the first major movie studio that will ban depictions of smoking from their Disney-branded films and would “discourage” it from their Touchstone and Miramax labels. The company will also start placing anti-smoking public service announcements (PSAs) on DVDs of any future films that feature cigarette smoking and encourage theater owners to show PSAs before films that contain cigarette smoking.
