This is Week in Walt Disney World History – July 22-28
This week is another slow week in the Walt Disney World History. Historically, summer months are slower for opening and closing of attractions due to the increased attendence. Once fall and winter rolls around the changes in the parks will increase.
- Monday, July 24, 1989 — Tony’s Town Square opened on this day on Main Street U.S.A. offering Italian food at the Magic Kingdom.
- Saturday, July 23, 1994 — Country Address, a womans clothing store closed in Downtown Disney Marketplace this day to make way for Art of Disney
- Wednesday, July 26, 2006 — It was announced this day that Cinderellabration would be closing in September 2006 as The Happiest Celebration on Earth was ending
