Top 7: Places to take a nap in Disney

7. The Land Pavilion – See? Other people do it!

6. The Land – Circle of Life
This movie is in a HUGE theater with nice big seats. Its dark, air conditioned and uneventful. It makes for the perfect nap spot. We suggest getting a fast-pass for Soarin and heading up for a quick nap until your fast pass time is up.

5. (whatever that movie is in…) France – EPCOT
Here’s why this one is perfect. A. who cares about France?! and 2. the movie is so boring that even someone with chronic insomnia will be asleep in 3 minutes.

4. Spaceship Earth – EPCOT
This is a PERFECT place to take a nap, especially if you can do that thing where you learn subconsciously. If so, you’ll be so smart when you wake up because there’s a LOT of history that’s covered in this ride. — Be sure to bring a pillow or crumple up a coat and use that behind your head. The track is a bit rough and if you lean back without something, your head will hurt by the time the ride is over.

3. United Kingdom – EPCOT
I don’t know why this one is a great place to sleep, I’ve personally never tried it. But I’ve seen more people asleep here than anywhere else. And its no where specific. Any bench or chair will do. About the only place you can’t sleep here is in the phone booths.

2. Carousel of Progress – this dark ride has low volume, no special effects and broken seats making it a great place to get in an almost 30 minute nap.

1. Universe of Energy – this slow moving ride starts out with a bang, litterally … the big bang. Stay awake for the preshow, the first movie and the dinosaurs … then, Disney will let you know that its time to go to sleep because they’ll move your car into a dark room and play narration from Willard Scott. Its like the perfect queue to tell you: Hey, the ride is taking a big down-turn from here, go ahead and sleep, if you hear a lion roar in your dream, that’s your cue to wake up.
