Top 7: Disasters Waiting to Happen (of all time)
7. Skyway - Magic Kingdom
Buckets held up by a wire 3 stories above the Magic Kingdom and a latch holding the door closed? How is that NOT a disaster waiting to happen?6. Test Track Tests - EPCOT
Legend has it that: Imagineers miscalculated the forces of cars running around the track during early tests and that one of the cars (#16) flew off the track. Look for good ol’ #16 in the TT gift shop! Seriously.5. Kilamanjaro Safaris - Animal Kingdom
The list of potential dangers could be the content of a 90-minute podcast itself. Suffice it to say that my favorite potential disaster would be blowing a tire infront of the Lion area the day the Lions figure out they can jump down from that rock.4. Primeval Whirl - Animal Kingdom
’nuff said.3. Space Mountain - Magic Kingdom
If you’ve ever seen it with the lights on, you’ll notice how easy it looks for someon to loose their hand, arm or head on the ride. As a bonus, the ride pulls FIVE G’s, which is 2.5 times more than Mission:Space.2. Lights, Motors, Action - MGM
An extreme miscalculation by any of the cars could easily cause a catastropic chain of events that could wipe out most of the 9000 people seated in the audience.1. Its a Small World - Magic Kingdom
The potential for disaster at Its A Small World makes for a highly combustible situation. Someone could easily jump in teh water head first in an attempt to drown themselves, or they could stand up and open fire on every prop, person or audio animatronic within sight in a futile attempt to make that frickin’ song stop!
